Stitching with my Houseguest
This is Squeaky, my daughter's cat. Kim was here for Father's Day, and she left Squeaky here until she comes back next Thursday. We are singing in the Patriotic Concert at Irvington United Methodist Church this coming Sunday where my son, Jason, is music director. Kim will come back for practice on Thursday, and she and Squeaky will stay until next Monday.
On the sewing front, I've made another basket block.
I've also crocheted another edge around this fleece for donation to Project Linus.
Here is some cotton yarn that I've pulled for a new project. I love all of the bright colors.
Here's the beginning of the project. Any guesses?
Hope you are all finding some time to stitch today!!!

Flowers and a Bit of Sewing
We've been having some strong storms that move through late each afternoon here. I think we are stuck in some sort of weather pattern. As the cooler (?) air went through this evening, I went out back and took photos of some of the flowers in the back yard.
This one is a variegated day lily.
Another in a soft peach color.
Here is a butterfly or maybe a big moth waiting for the storm.
In the evenings I have been stitching these little French baskets by hand while I sit outside.
At night I crochet around these fleece blankets to donate to Project Linus.
I hope you are all finding some time to stitch today.

Quilt Guild Meeting
This past Thursday night was the monthly meeting of our Indianapolis Quilt Guild, and Edyta Sitar was the speaker. I had the opportunity to hear her speak and see her beautiful quilts a few years ago but couldn't pass up the chance to see what she had been up to lately.
She brought some familiar quilts. This one is called Applique Affair.
